2013 LINT Officers

Next Meeting - Sat. June 8, 2013

Please join us for our upcoming meeting on Saturday, June 8th.  The meeting starts at 10:00am.  This meeting will be held at Steve Bigelow's shop.  The address is 1100 Wilkes Dr., Lucas, TX 75002. 

It will feature a cookout in addition to our regular meeting. Second Masters Class 2013

You asked for it, you got it.  Our second Master's Class of the year will be Saturday September 28th. Our presenter will be Michael Bashkin of Fort Collins, Colorado. Michael is a great craftsman, and one of lutherie's most successful marketeers. He will be speaking about marketing, as well as how to produce great detail work in hand built guitars, along with a few other trade secrets.  Go to his website to learn all about him at http://bashkinguitars.com/about.php. 

Member Dues

You can still pay your 2013 dues. Your dues are a very important part of our yearly operations.  If you have not already paid, you are encouraged to mail your check for dues to: Rick Eagan, 8918 Shady Winds, San Antonio, TX 78254.  Be sure to enclose a note with your name, address, phone number and email address.

Welcome to LINT

Welcome to all luthiers, luthiers-to-be, repair people and anyone else interested in the art and science of building and repairing stringed musical instruments.  This is the website of Luthiers Interactive of North Texas (LINT).  LINT is an association of North Texas Luthiers and stringed instrument repair people who meet six times a year. We meet on a weekend of every EVEN month to discuss and learn new techniques and information regarding the construction and repair of stringed instruments.  Various members of LINT have expertise in hand crafting and repairing all sorts of stringed musical instruments including guitars, banjos, mandolins, ukuleles, cellos, lutes, mandolins, and violins. 

MEMBERSHIP

Membership is open to anyone who has an interest in hand crafting stringed musical instruments.   Experienced and inexperienced craftsman and women are welcome.  See the About LINT tab above to see our goals.  Come for two meetings and see if LINT is for you.  If you want to join after that, our dues are $25 for one year.
